We went to the Christmas Fair which was fantastic on the Friday. Unfortunately it was cancelled for the Saturday and Sunday as the field for parking had turned into a very muddy bog that no one could get out of. The Fair itself was fantastic with 120 stalls and you could go in the tower and see the exhibition in there.

Lovely, quirky place that is reasonably priced. Very nice tea room.

Stunning Tudor architecture, beautiful gardens and a fascinating dolls' house display. Excellent value for money. Great little tea room in the old stables, and friendly staff. A lovely peaceful day out but watch out for sleeping goats on the drive! 🐐

Spent a lovely afternoon here. Very good value at £10 each. Catch the free guided tour. Its very interesting and informative.

Could anything be better than this? It's a lovely venue. We had a great day at the Book Festival. Really enjoyed it.

Visited the castle with year 5 School children, to learn more about the tudors. The staff were very informative and knowledgeable and kept the interest of the children for the whole day. The children tried their hands at archery, climbed to the top of tower, sampled food and took part in weaving a pattern, which they got to take home. We ate lunch in front of a huge open fire, with the view of the beautiful gardens. They also tried on some of the armour that Knights would have worn, with lots of opportunity for photo's and enough time for everyone to try something on. A recommended fun day, with lots to do, in stunning surroundings. The new born lambs trotting around the garden was an added bonus to this trip.

Having provided wedding flowers at this venue we can honestly say it is wonderful. You have the choice of a civil ceremony in their beautiful upstairs space, or a church wedding at their lovely chapel. They also offer both the long gallery with it's historic splendour or their newly renovated barn which is a beautiful space. The stunning staircase of the long gallery is a perfect space for your wedding portraits and confetti through, whilst the tower itself is breath-taking, and photos here are a must. Lovely day out. We visited during the kite flying event & my children enjoyed spotting the different characters. It was a very interesting walk to the top of the tower taking in the different rooms on the way. There is also a small children's play park & access to sheep/ chickens that my children enjoyed seeing too.

Awesome venue for weddings it has two areas which suit most styles. A newly refurbished barn and a galley right next door. The towers are amazing for photographs on your big day and the staff are spot on, friendly and professional. The choice to have food suppliers in the court yard for your evening food and make use of the barn and galley if you would like, makes this venue very unique.
